Nano-structures and diffractive optics: nano-particles and waveguides (optical fiber).
After obtaining her PhD in 2009 from TU Delft on Anisotropic Diffraction Gratings (meta-material) supervised by Prof. Urbach, she worked at Imperial College London as research associate on SIL (solid immersion lens) enhanced super-resolution optical system. Since 2010, she has returned to The Netherlands and has been working at TNO as a research scientist.
Her research interests include: plasmonic nanostructures; photothermal and photocatalysis for energy conversion and utilization; waveguide and fiber optic sensors. THz imaging non-destructive testing (NDT) for industrial process inspections.
